Owner & Executive Chef

A Charleston resident for 20 years, Meghan began her culinary career as a personal chef for downtown residents. In 2010, she attended The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, spending the next three years cooking in restaurants and TV production houses.

Returning to Charleston, Meghan cooked and managed events for Charleston’s largest catering company. Seeking to better express her scratch-made cooking philosophy, she transitioned to Rosemary & Rye, where she has led the kitchen for 8 years.

Meghan shares two young children, with her husband Chris, our Operations Manager. Her experience as an event planner, client coordinator and non-profit board member provides an all-encompassing approach to effective event execution.

Chris Timby

Owner & Operations Manager

Chris contributes over 6 years of restaurant and 16 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to his successful sales career, Chris helped open various restaurants such as Ristorante Luciano’s in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Finding his own culinary passion, he remained a chef at Luciano’s for 6 years.


Chris oversees all of Rosemary & Rye Catering’s financial accounting, operations, and staff management.  His ability to contribute to our kitchen is an added plus!


Jessica johnston

Director of Catering

Jessica is new to the Lowcountry, but a born and raised native of the Chicago Suburbs. She attended a small liberal arts college in Central Illinois and received a degree in Experimental Psychology, a secondary degree in Philosophy, and a minor in Spanish. While she took on impressive studies, she decided to go down a different, but equally bright, path post-grad after having worked in hotels throughout college. 


Her experience landed her a connection with a catering company that took her on as a Sales Lead and she’s been in Catering Sales and Management ever since. When she’s not working hard she loves spending time at the beach, exploring outdoor markets, reading and traveling.


Marketing Manager

Laurel joins Rosemary & Rye from an Agency background, having previously served as a Digital Marketing Supervisor in Corporate Advertising. She specializes in Digital Reputation Management, SEO, and Digital Advertising (including PPC & SMA). 


An Ohio-native (she’s used to the jokes!), Laurel graduated from Ohio University with a Degree in Graphic Design and Communications. Prior to her career in marketing, Laurel spent her youth working in various hospitality roles. She has enjoyed her return to the hospitality industry to apply her marketing expertise. 

Sullivan Murdock

Corporate Sales Manager 

Sully was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, SC, but recently moved to Johns Island. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications and has previously worked in Healthcare Recruiting. He loves hospitality because as a social butterfly, it’s a great way to connect with people. When he’s not working he loves playing golf, watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and singing the occasional “Fireflies” by Owl City at karaoke.
